Erik Lehnsherr is forcibly separated from his parents in Nazi Germany. He has the power to manipulate magnetic force fields and magnetic flight. He joins Xavier and Mystique to recruit other mutants and defeat the Hellfire Club, as their leader, Shaw, murdered his mother.
